Just a short drive from Biloxi, The Trails of Timberton located in Hattiesburg Mississippi include three nine hole layouts. The Creekside and Valley courses were designed by PGA tour star Mark McCumber. Opened in June of 1998, the Lakeview course was designed by J.R. Carpenter and Ron Hickman.

Golf at Timberton is played in a pristine, natural environment complete with an abundance of wildlife. Its rolling fairways interact with lakes, streams and a variety of terrain to challenge and delight golfers of all calibers. Characteristics of the course include multiple tee bases, large undulating greens, grassy knolls and depressions and plenty of bunkers. The stats shown are for the Lakeview/Creekside course.
Since opening in 1991, Timberton has consistently been ranked as one of the finest golf courses in south, being rated as #3 in Mississippi for 2002 by GOLFWEEK Magazine. In Golf Digest's Places to Play 2002-2003, Timberton Golf Club was named one of the best courses to play in Mississippi. |
